Why is my vagina itchy and burny? Girls please, Mature answers only (:? I shaved my vagina for the first time and my vaginal area is all red and itchy and stubbly, I just shaved about thirty minutes ago. I used a soft razor and applied lots of lotion after, and it’s itchy and burny. When will the hair grow back?

I know I'm not a girl but I think I’ve the answer to your question. I've answered many girls only questions & still received best answer by the asker. Here is how to shave your pubic hair: 1st cut the hairs short. Apply conditioner or something creamy to the pubic area. Then shave upwards in the opposite direction of the hairs with a 5-bladed razor. Be sure to shave hard to make it smooth. Afterwords to avoid getting beginners side effects wash the area off with acne cleanser or anti-bacterial dishwasher soap. It only takes me five minutes to shave it & I shave about 3x a week. If done right you’ll be incredibly smooth like me. If you do experience beginners side effects don't panic, just put acne cream on the bumps, pop them if you can, keep up the shaving routine, & they should go away within a month. It's just like starting a new medicine. You can also get it removed permanently with electrolysis which is painful & costs fifty-five dollars an hour. I've gotten three treatments on my pubic hair. Email me for more info about it. Here are the benefits of pubic hair removal: 1st of all the absence of pubic hair is alot more erotic & sensational. It's easier to get sexually excited & masturbate. You'll feel sexier, younger, & more naked when you're naked. If you're a girl your guy will be able to see your vagina when you're naked. For girls it makes their periods easier to clean up because the hair just traps in blood & junk. It's cleaner because hair traps in odors & dirt & is one less thing to wash when you take a shower. One of the reasons I started shaving is because pubic hair was a distraction when I saw that area, I would kill time twirling the hairs. Pubic hair can get caught in stuff like your zipper. & you won't leave long gross hairs on the toilet or in the bath. I’ve a blog posted on my profile about why there's nothing wrong with pubic hair removal that you & everybody else should read. I believe my answer is the best & it would appreciate it if you chose it best.

There's where you made a mistake. Don't apply lotion after!! I've found after years that the perfumes in lotion aggrevate the area causing the itchy & redness. I also found it's best to only shave when it's kind of long but not super long. Feel the area and shave against the hairs…you'll find that in that small area each section goes different…..well mine does at least. And no lotion after! I also use my husbands “Gillette razors” I find they’re stronger wider bladed and work better than any female razor out there. As for the hair growing back, thats up to your body. I get stubbles after day two then it's long enough to shave again (1 cm ish) after 3-4 days. You might consider waxing? **don’t listen to the persn below me about continuing to apply lotion! You’ll make it worse. Trust me, the itchy & burning is not a normal occurance for shaving. Im now twenty-five and I never get the itchy & redness except for rare occasions when i overshave an are TOO much trying to get that smooth feeling OR because of the perfumes in lotions…

Are you sexually active ? If yu are go get a pap smear ! (GYN) if not its probably a rash or a yeast infection ( if your discharging and it's thick and itchy ) ! But otherwise I think it's best to ask your mom ! Don't be scared she has the same thing as you ! Your mom knows best and would no more about you than the Internet !!!

You shaved your vulva, not your vagina. The vagina is the inside part, the vulva is the surrounding outside area. Well, you don't have an std from shaving if that's why you posted under this category… The pubic area is sensitive and the irritation you've described is normal. Try rinsing with cool water and applying unscented lotion or baby oil. You're 13. I don't know why you think it's necessary to shave all the hair off. Why not just trim?

Fungus? Don't wash clothes with bathroom rug. Watch out for dirty carpets, dogs, shoes and socks. Wash hands before touching your vagina.

“…and he also has been fully checked for any STD s/STI s” Did he just tell you that or were you there when he had the tests?? Blokes do lie, you know… “To note, he has shown me a card proving he has been checked for an STD” Which could easily have been faked…

This definitely sounds like a yeast infection, all the symptoms you’re explaining are very common yeast infection symptoms. This happens to girls all the time, for many reasons. The itching can be so unbareable and uncomfortable! If you don't want to go to a gynecologist, I reccomend a new product that they’ve out. It’s called Canesten Oral. It's a yeast infection treatment, but instead of using the tablets and the aplicator, it's just an oral pill. It also comes with cream for external relief. It can be kind of pricey, around 25$ but works fast and effectively! I’ve used this product and felt relief within one day. In the mean time, the cream they supply really helps with the itching. It's also really good because its one simple pill, instead of using the applicator which can cause discomfort! So I recommend going to your drugstore and picking this up, but if your symptoms don't go away within 3-7 days I would recommend seeing a doctor. But I think you should be fine and this should do the trick !
