White, creamish vaginal discharge with fishy odor? I’ve been dealing with this for quite a while now, but it has gotten a little bit worse and I'm desperate to do something about it…I currently am working, but don’t have insurance and don't have a lot of money to spend on trying to get this taken care of, but I'm willing to do whatever I’ve to. This problem that I’ve doesn't cause itching or burning or any pain during sexual intercourse, but there IS a VERY noticeable white discharge that’s almost like a thick cream, it's not a lot, but it's enough for me to notice it, and the odor is fishy. Please, if anyone can help me to find out where I can go or what I can do to get rid of this, please help me. I’ve had the same sexual partner since 2004, so I don't believe it’s any kind of STD, but please help me. Thank you.
Watery ammonia smelling vaginal discharge? My younger sister SWEARS to me that she's not sexually active, which I believe. Never the less, she told me that for a while she's been having discharge that's smells like ammonia. She's described it to smell almost like hair dye at times. She at first thought it was urine, but when she puts in a tampon it blocks it from getting to her underwear. We've been looking all over the internet but there are a lot of contradictory answers. She also said that it's not like normal discharge, that it comes pouring out of her sometimes, hence her using tampons to control it. Has anyone EVER experienced this? Any insight would be great. ALSO. She had a pap smear after it started, before she really noticed it, and everything came back normal. So I don't think it's an STD. Thanks!
Bacterial Vaginosis. Ok. Let me say a few words about vaginal odor. It is perfectly normal for a woman’s vagina to have a mild odor, but if the odor becomes
She should really go see a doctor. Causes of Ammonia Smelling Discharge Bacterial Vaginosis This is one of the most common infections plaguing the female reproductive system. Normally, a woman's genital area is supplied with good bacteria that fight off unwanted foreign and potentially dangerous bacteria. If there is any kind of imbalance in the ratio of good and bad bacteria in the vaginal area, be it too much or too little, the condition of bacterial vaginosis is triggered. The bad bacteria take over and convert nitrogen into ammonia compounds, thereby causing the foul ammonia odor. Mostly this condition occurs in women during their child-bearing years. Menopause As a woman enters menopause, the body begins to experience change is several ways. During menopause the ovaries quit producing the hormone estrogen and progesterone. Besides the basic menopausal symptoms of hot flashes, mood swings, urinary leakage, etc. Ammonia smelling vaginal discharge is another symptom of menopause. During menopause, women are seen to not take in enough water. This lack of adequate water results in formation of concentrated urine which imparts a highly stronger smell or odor. Oft women mistake the ammonia smelling coming from urine left behind on the panties to be coming from the vaginal discharge. Diet One's diet can also be one of the factors resulting in ammonia smelling discharge. Food like asparagus are known to cause ammonia smelling discharge. Several food items we consume have arduous oils that end up being secreted in the sweat. Meat eaters consuming a lot of spicy, pungent food are seen to be affected by ammonia smelling discharge. Seafood, eggs, liver and pungent vegetables like onions, garlic, etc. Can result in foul odored discharge. Washing Panties with Bleach Using bleach while washing one's underwear can impart an ammonia smell. The genital area contains sweat glands that produce sweat. When this sweat combines with the bleach in the underwear, it forms an ammonia kind of smell. Often this smell is mistaken to be coming from the vaginal discharge. Read more on urine odor. Urinary Tract Infections or invasion of some parasites on the vaginal region can also be reasons for ammonia smelling discharge. Sweating profusely in the groin region and the odor caused by it can also mislead people to thinking the odor is hailing from the vaginal discharge. Although the condition of ammonia smelling discharge is embarrassing, it’s important to consult the doctor regarding the same. When you go to consult the gynecologist don’t scent up the area to curb the foul smell. This will hinder the doctor from determining the exact cause of the smell and the intensity of the condition. Just wash and dry the area clean before visiting your doctor.
Most girls get brown or white discharge, it could just be a little build up of natural lube from when she gets wet. Or old semen from yourself. Or if it smells fishy she could be eating to much yeast. If it looks Clumpy it’s a small amount of the lining from her period that hasn't come out yet
You more than likely have an STD. Quit sleeping around and/or choose clean cocks.
It might be bacterial vaginosis. I believe that vagisil has a testing kit. I also heard to eating yogurt works.
What I've had when this happens is Bacterial Vaginosis. It’s not anything abnormal. It’s not an STD. Women get it from an excess of bacteria there. The antibiotics that are prescribed aren’t cool w/me because I like to have an occasional coctail, and you can't drink on it because it’ll cause you to be extremely ill!! I wish there were another way to treat it, but I don't think there is one. It’s quite an unpleasant smell, and surely embarrassing. I hope this is all you have going wrong, and do take the meds, because they say it can spread to other areas in the womanly parts. I hope you get better. Look that term up on google or whatever your favorite search engine is and that will give you more insight, Good luck, C.B.
Some smells can be caused by odd fabrics in underwear, tight jeans, and using soap in your vulva aka your lady parts soap can become trapped and cause a smell. Try cotton underwear or none at all for sleeping try nightgowns and let it breath just use warm water for washing and see if it stops if not you may have some sort of issue you need to talk to a doc about
A lot of people are so rude! I totally know what you’re talking about. No amount of bathing, wiping, ANYTHING seems to keep a lot of women from preventing vaginal odors. It's so embarrassing, and there really is not a whole lot that can be done. I would just suggest buying those disposable Fresh'n Up Wipes. They help me a little bit. Especially after intercourse. Good luck!
Yes any time your lil girl friend smell other then she’s suppose to smell there is a problem. Foul smells mean there is something wrong. Sister got to the Dr. You can cause other problems to happen just with that fish smell we r to smell pretty not fishy good luck
M B – ive never seen a more immature answer to a question. If you`re scared of a boy being “eeew” then the name states it all – hes a boy not a man. To be honest darlin you seem totally normal. Dont worry about it. The guys like the smell (ive been told) anyway. Keep things clean with special wipes or wash (designed for the sensitive area) and you should haven’thing to worry about. Oh, and safe sex wouldnt go afar either
