Medical statistics reveal that every 3 in 4 women are likely to suffer from vaginal yeast infection at some point in their lives. Even though it’s a common disease among women, it can cause disturbing symptoms such as painful urination, vaginal odor and discharge, and itching in the vaginal area. But it’s quite easy to bring yeast infection relief by using some home remedies to get rid of the vaginal itch.
One such home remedy is the usage of Oregano oil to bring quick relief. Women should take the oregano oil internally, but according to the directions of their physician. One thing that women and men should bear in mind while using oregano oil against yeast infection is that the oil must have high carvacrol content, one of the key elements against yeast infections. But it’s said that prevention is better than cure. Women should be on the look out for infections and take every possible step to avoid it. Food items that are high in sugar and alcohol content should be avoided in a bid to prevent yeast infection. Also, try to keep the area around the vagina clean and dry. Since infection takes birth in moist conditions, keeping your body parts clean and dry will go a long way in the prevention of this embarrassing disease.
A further helpful subject in regard to this theme. Another technique is the use of garlic. Soak gauze in water and then wrap it around a whole clove of garlic. Insert the garlic-filled gauze in the vaginal area for about an hour. The anti-bacterial properties of garlic will bring immediate relief from yeast infection. Yet another food item that can bring relief is yogurt. The bacterial properties of yogurt are said to effectively take on the infection. To use yogurt as a yeast infection medication, first, freeze the yogurt After the yogurt has completely solidified, rub the frozen yogurt over the vaginal area. Yogurt is said to provide instant relief. Water is yet another element that brings quick relief.
Though most of these home remedies have been tried and tested, and found to be extremely effective in bringing relief, you must remember that these techniques aren’t written by a doctor and you must consult one, if your condition persists.

I’ve Vaginal itch issues? For the past week or so, the inside of my vagina has been very itchy. No burning or irregular discharge. I’ven't been sexually active or anything, and I really feel like this came out of nowhere. What can it be? Why is this happening? How can I make it go away??
Microgestin causing vaginal itch? I’ve been on Microgestin birth control for two months now and so far every month I’ve had an itch inside my vagina. I usually get it the first week I start a new pack. It’s really annoying and uncomfortable. I dont think its a yeast infection because I’ve no discharge or anything. It says a side effect is vaginal irritation. Do you think this will go away once my body gets used to this pill? Has anyone else had these same side effects?
Lichen sclerosus – myDr.com.au. Lichen sclerosus is an uncommon cause of vulval itch that occurs mainly the entrance to the vagina, interfering with sexual intercourse.
I was on microgestin and I didn’t experience this. After six months I had to get off because it ruined my emotions and my personality completely changed. A lot of people have those side effects so watch out for that too. I began crying over everything and lashing out when my bf and I got into fights. He told me I haven’t been the same since I'd been on it.

It takes a while for your body to get used to it but I wouldn't want to take a birth control that causes any type of irritation. Theirs many other low dose birth control pills that may only have temporary side effects or may even get none at all from them and help regulate your period even make it less heavy. Take a look into all the types of birth control next time before deciding on one that causes more issues then it treats.

A dirty, disgusting vag. Why don't practice better hygeine?
Sounds like a yeast infection. Also, don't wear any underwear to sleep. Cotton underwear keeps moisture in the area and that's not good for the itching.
Yes. I think it's the dri-weave covering they advertise. Or, it's because they’re scented. The perfume may be what is irritating. Quit using them. The irritation should disappear within a couple of days. I think that Kotex is a good brand to use. Stayfree for me had the same effect. I wouldn’t recommend using any lotion or cocoa butter in that area for the irritation. I would use something without perfumes or dyes. If you wanted to, you could use some Monistat cream (the same you'd use for a yeast infection—just use it in the areas you’re irritated). I suggest Monistat because it’s proven to be “safe” for that area. Regular lotions generally contain perfumes and dyes and could irritate the problem more.
Yeast infection?…I’ve no idea. Maybe its the birth control.. I also just started birth control a week ago but i havnt noticed anything like that. Sorry i feel like im no help
