Naturally Treat Bacterial Vaginosis. Holistic Treatment For BV

If you’re currently suffering from bacterial vaginosis, you may be wondering if you can use natural treatments. Many women find that antibiotics just don’t work in the long term and one of the best methods you can use is holistic treatment for BV.

Bacterial vaginosis is an extremely common condition and happens when there is an overgrowth of anaerobic bacteria, which is harmful. Under normal circumstances this bacteria exists in small amounts within the vagina which is normally populated by beneficial bacteria which supports a healthy pH level. When the harmful bacteria is allowed to grow out of control, they multiply until the beneficial bacteria can no longer do their job of keeping the vagina healthy and the unpleasant symptoms of BV will occur.

BV can affect any woman, whether sexually active or not. Indeed, it’s often difficult to determine the exact cause, although there are a number of possible root causes which a woman might like to consider when looking at her own situation.

Let’s go on with this piece of content. One common cause is wearing tight clothing. This can prevent air circulation and the warmth and moisture created are the perfect conditions for the growth of harmful bacteria. Therefore, one holistic treatment for BV is to avoid creating the environment in the first place. You might do this by avoiding wearing tight trousers or pantyhose and even choosing cotton panties.

Another way to naturally treat bacterial vaginosis is to take a “wait and see” approach. Sometimes the body is able to cure itself, without the need for intervention. Taking antibiotics often makes matters worse as they kill off both good and bad bacteria meaning that any new bad bacteria can flourish as there is nothing to keep control.

Holistic treatment for BV can be as simple as looking at your washing habits. Washing too much, douching and using perfumed products around the vagina can all deplete the levels of beneficial bacteria and allow bacterial vaginosis to thrive. Therefore wash once or twice a day and only use unperfumed soap.

2 excellent substances to naturally treat bacterial vaginosis are tea tree oil and cider vinegar.

Tea tree oil is a natural antibacterial substance and is great for killing off the bacteria which causes BV. It’s available in pessary form and these can be safely used in the vagina as a holistic treatment for BV. Adding a couple of cups of cider vinegar to a shallow bath can also help as it can rebalance the vagina’s pH levels.

There is a fully guaranteed way to naturally treat bacterial vaginosis. This method has help many thousands of women worldwide to finally free themselves from this unpleasant and embarrassing condition. Does salt vinegar and water cure bv? Hey honey, There's no cure for BV as of yet. Vinegar will temporarily get rid of your odor caused by BV. But it’ll not cure BV, so expect the odor everyday. Digestive enzymes miraculously helped me. Go ahead and read my story at http://www.govaginafresh.com Best of luck girlie.

Hey there, I know exactly what you’re dealing with. To answer your question, no Salt, Vinegar & Water won’t cure your BV. I hate to see how people, like Mimi who responded to your question, post information on forum websites like this so that they can recommend a product that they’re affiliated with so that they can make a profit when someone purchases that product. I want you to know that I’m in no way affiliated with the information that I’m about to share with you. I’ve been suffering from Bacterial Vaginosis for well over a year now. It has been really frustrating trying to fix my problem. This problem has greatly diminished my sex life with my husband, we don't really even have one anymore. I got fed up with this and have scoured the internet researching and trying many different things from douching with hydrogen peroxide, to taking many different types of vitamins, to taking Acidipholus (probiotic) pills, and to washing with unscented soap. Nothing worked!! I was so discouraged until I came across women raving about Fem-dophilus. I noticed another review mentioned how it didn't work but then referred you to their affialiate link to get a profit from when you purchase the product. I can say that Fem-dophilus works!! It works great. The bottle says to take orally, so I did at first. I noticed the discharge began to go away, but a slight fishy odor still remained. I continued on my hunt to completely get rid of this problem once and for all. Finally I ran across the scientific research done regarding the specific bacteria that are in the Fem-dophilus pills that promote a healthy vagina and balance the vagina's pH. I went to amazon and read women raving about this product. If you decide to purchase it, you just have to make sure that the vendor that you purchase it from sells it with a cold pack to ensure it stays cold while in shipping. After you get it home make sure you keep it refrigerated to keep the bacteria alive. After learning about the research that was done (check out slides 6-9 of the slide presentation it’ll tell you exactly what has been clinically proven to cure Bacterial Vaginosis, and why the antibiotics that you’re prescribed don't fix the problem), I began vaginally inserting two pills a day one in the morning and one at night. I’ve finally gotten rid of my BV!! YAY!! I hope this helps you! I’m dedicated to getting the word out about this because I don't want other people to have to suffer with this problem.

Yogurt is good for the yeast infections not the bacteria ones you need to see a doctor if you or anyone you know have the bacteria infection those lead to urinary tract infections and those can be painful. Sorry, my grandma worked at a hospital

I've had it during my pregnancy, I was diagnosed at eleven weeks and had It treated at sixteen weeks- I'm now almost twenty-six weeks. Bacterial vaginosis has been linked to preterm labor, low birth weight and premature rupture of the membranes (your water breaking too early). So you should really go ahead and take the antibotics. Why not? BV isn't something you want to wait to treat until after you give birth, as its such a pain in the butt. But nevertheless, you can try at home remedies like drinking and bathing in apple cidar vinegar or eating plain yogurt (the kind with the live cultures). But to answer your question, if left untreated its possible nothing at all will happen, and it possible to effect your baby. I wouldn't risk it either way. Good luck!
