Bacterial Vaginosis (BV) can be a very confusing infection. Doctors cannot pinpoint the exact triggers for bacterial vaginosis causes, but what they do know is exactly what happens in your vagina when you do have one.
Basically, what happens when you have a bacterial vaginosis infection, is an overgrowth of bad bacteria in your vagina, mainly gardenella. This happens because your pH levels have changed in your vagina, and in a more acidic enviroment, this bacteria flourishes (how acidic or basic the environment is). When your vagina is overrun by this bad bacteria, the good bacteria, such a lactobacilli, does not have a chance to fight off the infection naturally. After using this information, we can determine probable bacterial vaginosis causes.
The main four BV causes are:
One additional fascinating point close to this theme. Douching – Douching could be one of the leading bacterial vaginosis causes. It can be very bad if used more than one time a month. Over-douching can lead to BV because it SEVERELY irritates the environment of your vagina. It can even force an infection further into your vagina, possibly even into your fallopian tubes. Then you have a much larger problem. Douching with scented or perfumed douches can also cause irritation.
Over Washing – Just as it states. There are helpful and good microorganisms/bacteria in your vagina that help keep it naturally clean. Over washing or using antibacterial soaps can kill the good bacteria.

New/Multiple Sex Partners – BV is not an STD, but it has been linked to having a new or multiple sex partners. Anytime you introduce something different to your vagina, it can cause irritation (tampons, condoms, soaps, etc.).
Change in Diet/Exercise – Changing your diet or exercise influences your whole body. Sometime when you change it up, you can actually lower your immune system and become more susceptible to infections and diseases.
I struggled with BV for three years. Doctors kept prescribing antibiotics, and nothing seemed to work! It just kept coming back over and over again. When I was at my wit is end, I stumbled upon a Natural BV Treatment. My BV cleared up in seventy-two hours!

Green fluid trickled down my leg….38w4d pregnant.. What does this mean? I had some green fluid run down my leg… I’ve bacterial vaginosis which causes my discharge to be green, but I don’t know why I had this run down my leg. I looked up and it said that the baby could have passed a bowel movement which could be a sign of distress, but other sites say that if it was my amniotic sac, it wouldn't stop…which it did. Could it just have been an increase in discharge or what?
Can Bacterial Vaginosis cause an abnormal pap? The doctor said that my papsmear was a little abnormal and I'm going in for a colposcopy? What does a little abnormal mean? Colposcopy is usually done to look at the vagina and cervix when a Pap test is abnormal. Many abnormal Pap tests are caused by viral infections, such as human papillomavirus (HPV) infection, or other types of infection, such as those caused by bacteria, fungi (yeast), or protozoa (Trichomonas). Natural cervical cell changes (atrophic vaginitis) related to menopause can also cause an abnormal Pap test. In some cases, untreated cervical cell changes that cause abnormal Pap tests may progress to precancerous or cancerous changes. Your doctor should have explained to you what the problem was with your abnormal results. I'd give him a call and ask him to explain the’ssue. Good luck and I hope it's nothing serious whatsoever.
